Integrated Multi-Axis
The flag-ship machining cell at Norquest is our complex supercell. This large group of work centres are all multi-axis (5-9 axis) integrated (combined turning and milling) machining centres, most with chuck-to-chuck ‘done-in-one’ capability. The machining envelope ranges from small to very large, with 5 metres (196”) centre-to-centre capability, up to 1067 mm (42″) swings and 260 mm (10.2″) through spindles and multiple steady rests for very large workpieces. The advantages of such highly capable integrated machining include:
- Very complex geometries, with milling, turning and drilling.
- Eliminates multiple set-ups with inherent alignment pitfalls.
- Reduced scrap rates.
- Reduced and consistent lead-times with fewer pallets on the floor.
- Done-in-One capability. Raw material goes in – finished product comes out – all in a single operation.
At Norquest, we take pride in being at the forefront of technological advantage. We are pleased to bring these advantages to you.

Controlled Cycle
Our controlled cycle machines are designed to deliver repeatable, precision machining for complex and high-tolerance components. By utilizing programmable feed and speed controls, these machines provide exceptional consistency across every part, even in challenging materials and intricate geometries. Controlled cycle technology allows for optimized tool paths, minimized setup times, and improved surface finishes — all while maintaining tight dimensional accuracy.
This capability is especially valuable for parts requiring reliable, repeatable production in industries such as oil & gas, energy, and defense. With advanced monitoring and feedback systems, our controlled cycle machines help reduce operator error, improve throughput, and ensure each part meets exact specifications. The result is higher efficiency, shorter lead times, and reliable quality for both prototype and production runs.

CNC Machining
Our CNC machining capabilities deliver precision, consistency, and efficiency for even the most complex components. With a wide range of multi-axis mills, lathes, and turning centers, we produce high-tolerance parts in a variety of materials — from standard alloys to specialty metals. Computer-controlled programming allows for intricate geometries, tight dimensional accuracy, and repeatable quality from prototype to full-scale production.
Backed by skilled machinists and advanced inspection technology, our CNC machining ensures every part meets exact specifications. Whether you need one-off custom components or large production runs, we combine state-of-the-art equipment, expert programming, and rigorous quality control to achieve the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Manual Turning & Milling
Our manual turning and milling capabilities provide the flexibility and craftsmanship needed for specialized, low-volume, or highly customized projects. With experienced machinists at the controls, we can efficiently produce complex one-off parts, make quick adjustments, or perform precision modifications that aren’t practical for automated production. This hands-on approach is ideal for repairs, legacy components, or prototypes that require expert problem-solving and adaptability.
By combining skilled craftsmanship with precision tooling and robust measuring practices, we deliver parts that meet exact specifications — even when drawings are limited or adjustments are required on the fly. Our manual turning and milling services complement our CNC production, allowing us to handle unique requests, urgent needs, or components that demand a more tailored, hands-on approach.
